Anime just happens to be one of the only show genre's that I'm able to watch. Don't ask me why or how, but I really can't sit through a well-made, thought-provoking, cinematic, intelligent series. I consider myself a cinephile, but a show? Don't recommend this or that to me, because chances are I'll never try to watch it, and if I do, I'll stop after a few episodes. People have recommended all sorts of shows to me, but I just can't get into them. I don't even have a Netflix subscription because I would never use one anyway.
There's something so different about a well-made movie to me, and a long, drawn out, 45 minutes per episode show. I just don't have the bandwidth or interest. There's so much banking on your investment in the continued drama in a series that demands basically days to finish it. With anime, it's so unique to anything I've seen. It's cute, it's thought-provoking, and it's intense. Here's to Hunter X Hunter.
