This is what one mom found out when her 26-year-old daughter began to pressure her to give her a portion of her retirement savings. The mom had been storing away the money in the hopes of retiring early and being able to travel, after spending much of her life as a single mother, providing everything she could for her daughter as she grew up.
Despite this, her child felt that it was only fair that she put this money towards a down payment for her first house. She got upset when she refused this request, leading the mom to share her frustrations.
