    'Men LOVE telling women what to do': Entitled man yells at female dog owner for carrying her 12-week-old puppy home during 101 degree heat

    Doesn't it feel like this summer is hotter than others, animal fam? Even the wind is hot now. Walking outside feels like walking into a sauna with no way out - and if we feel that way, imagine how our poor doggos feel! They don't have nice, supportive shoes to help them walk on the sidewealk, their bare toe beans are pressed against the pavement the whole time! This is why we only walk our doggos in the shade during the summer months, and even then, for very short periods of time. 

    But people always have an opinion on what you're doing. Sometimes it seems like people will go out of their way to tell you that you're doing something wrong, even if you didn't ask them. A 50-year-old entitled man scolded the female dog owner in this post for carrying her 12-week-old puppy home after getting too tired to finish his walk. Necessary? Absolutely not.

      I carried my dog home during a walk. A man yelled at me for it

      So my (32f) dog is 12 weeks old. A 12 week old puppy shouldn't have long walks as it can cause pain and joint issues in the future. My dog takes forever to so unfortunately, while her walks shouldn't be more than 10 minutes, she takes like 20

    • 12 weeks old is still a baby. Like, a real baby. They have short bursts of energy and then need to sleep for about 5-6 hours. It totally makes sense that this poor pupper got too hot and needed to be carried. If we had the option of someone carrying us, we would also take it!

      It's been 3 days and I can't stop thinking about it? Should I not have picked my puppy up? It literally felt like 101 degrees out. She walks home by herself all the time so I figured she hit her limit. Or am I just being overprotective and crazy?

    • We actually carried our puppy everywhere when she was that young. At least, until she got her required vaccinations. She also used to give up when she got too tired - she would just lie down and look at us like “Daddy, please carry me!”. And carry her we did. Happily.

      worrying about something. He told me to imagine an old fashioned tape recorder in my head. And when I would think of this incident, to imagine myself reaching out and deliberately turning off the tape recorder. If I continued to do this, those thoughts would eventually stop, and they did.

      natoned1 12h ago . If a dog lies down and doesn't want to continue the walk, especially a puppy, you should carry them. I was a military dog handler back in the day, and I would carry my 98 lb. dog under those conditions. That man is a moron.

      you. When my lil guy was here still and it was hot, I'd pour room temp water along his "mane" down to his tail to help cool him down. He LOVED it.
