If we really sit back and ponder what it is a computer does for us, it is kind of crazy that human beings essentially invented something that is kind of like a brain (yes, even before the advent of generative AI). We created an invention that could do the thinking for us, with the only hitch being that it required a hefty amount of human thinking to go into it first.
This is, of course, where individuals such as programmers come in. They are part of the reason we get to live in this world of screens in a way that is (relatively) pain-free, by taking on that pain for us. It is a mighty helpful skill to have knowledge that extends beyond turning it off and then turning it back on again, but it doesn't come without its difficulties. Thankfully, memes are here to help lighten the mental burden.
