Bride puts her foot down after her entitled mother-in-law tries to force the bridal party to wear hideous gowns for the wedding: 'She said if she's paying, she gets a say'

Every romcom about weddings makes some joke about ugly bridesmaid dresses. Perhaps it was a fad of the 80s or even a shrill joke in the cinema world, but in modern times, no bride wants their bridesmaids to look ugly. Brides don't need their friends to dim their light on their big day; in fact, any sensible bride wants their friends and sisters to be comfortable, beautiful, and happy on their wedding day. 

But this woman's mother-in-law didn't think so. Hung up on the old-timey trend of making your girls look bad so the bride looks even more dazzling, she attempted to guilt-trip this bride into choosing the ugliest bridesmaid dresses known to man. Since the mother-in-law was paying for them, she felt entitled to a unilateral decision, but she was sorely mistaken. 

This bride wouldn't go down without a fight, and she wanted to make sure her bridesmaids were confident and happy on her wedding day.
