She can’t really be mad about you interacting with her cats when they’re the ones roaming freely into your yard. Sounds like they’ve already claimed you as part of their territory!

You definitely didn’t do anything wrong. Helping a vulnerable cat in need is kindness, not theft. You’re not a bad person for showing compassion and giving her shelter when she needed it most.
