The devil is a fascinating character in folklore. I'm partial to Satan in South Park, particularly the episode where he throws a Super Sweet 16th birthday party for himself and gets angry when he gets an Acura cake instead of a Ferrari cake. I never watched The Powerpuff Girls, but the fact that they were able to get away with portraying HIM the way they did is a miracle.
A lot of people don't know how to talk about the devil without feeling uncomfortable. It's not like he's a total sacred cow, but he's a fallen angel after all. In 5th-grade art class, we were tasked with creating an animal out of clay. I wanted to be creative, so I chose the devil as my animal. Nobody told me I couldn't, but when I told anyone what my creation was (most people thought it was a cat), they responded not with scorn or praise, but with absolutely nothing.
