    15-year-old poultry farm supervisor gets talked down to because of his age, ‘promotes’ mean employee to waste duty: 'As it turns out, you still don't want to [mess with] your boss even if he's 15.'

    Remember when you first started working? It was most likely a very part-time gig that doesn't require any prior training. There are many rules and regulations about a minor on the job. However, when it comes to farming, in the U.S. at least, rules tend to be a little more relaxed. We're not hiring 14-year-olds to run heavy machinery (that I know of…)! But apparently we are hiring them to manage poultry farms. Chickens are cute and all, but they can be a lot of work and it takes a whole team to care for a large amount of them. And the way things are in the U.S. right now, yes, teenagers are being hired as supervisors… 

     

    But, this isn't about the politics of it. We're here to congratulate this 15-year-old chicken farmer manager on his first successful professional malicious compliance!
