Being forced to sit down for eight hours straight, five days a week, for 50 years isn't exactly fun to think about. One thing that makes this grim future slightly (and I mean that in the truest sense of the word) is finding a chair that provides you comfort instead of a hefty physical therapy bill. Office chairs are expensive because you will get real use out of them. In my humble opinion, it's up to your workplace to foot the cost of comfortable equipment. If they don't provide you with something to solve your growing discomfort, especially when you are required to be in the office, then the least they can do is help you find an ergonomic solution. The employee in this next story tried to find solutions themselves without buying a chair that costs an arm and a leg, but that might cost them their back instead.
Their boss refuses to allow them to get cozy in any other way they possibly can, like standing up and taking walks, stretching in the middle of the day, and in other cost-efficient ways. If they can't provide comfy chairs, then they'll have to deal. What do you think? Scroll below to read the full story.
