Monday. You wake up, always a little groggier than usual due to Sunday night's typical insomnia (aka doom scrolling). You get up with lethargy, you slither to the bathroom to brush your teeth, drag yourself to the kitchen to make a cup of Joe, and plomp, back into bed. You're starting your day just like every other day, and ending it just the same too. Tuesday rolls around, you decide to be adventurous and take your laptop to the oh so professional dining area of your apartment to work sitting with a straight back at least. Wednesday you become even more confident and comfortable and actually make your way to the local café for a little "work from café" day, sipping on espressos and making weird eye contact with the barista.
Work from home is a different life. Some people love it, some people hate --I mean love it. What's not to love? I can understand some level of ennui from the regular monotony of it all, but that's when you start taking that laptop out of the house. Find a workspace, a cafe, a park, or even a friend's house. Work from home is a gift, and anyone who has the pleasure of experiencing it will understand the height of working in pajamas.
