'They wanted $10,000': New smart-home owner tells the previous owner that they should "volunteer" to pay for all of their new carpet because the old rugs smell like dogs, so they get revenge by messing with the AC and lights in the home

Being a dog owner comes with a certain set of experiences - good and bad. Because no matter how good they want to be, our dogs love getting into trouble. All the time. In all kinds of ways. Your dog might eat your couch, and then your new couch too. Your dog might steal your underwear for no clear reason - over and over, as if they want to wear them themselves. And of course, as is true for pretty much all dogs, endless fur and some funny smells happening sometimes is going to be a thing.

Maybe the new owners of this house didn't expect that because they've never owned a dog themselves. Maybe they didn't know about the dogs who lived in the house previously. Maybe, maybe, maybe. Doesn't matter. Either way, the new homeowners asking the old ones to pay $10,000 for new rugs because the old ones smelled like dogs… that is simply hilarious.

We don't care how much dog smell there is in the carpet. Once the house is sold, the previous owners should have absolutely nothing to do it. Which is why… we have to be fair and say that they should not have had access to this app at all, no matter how funny their revenge might have been.
