We all know that way back in the day, women were expected to stay home and tend to the house, juggle cooking and cleaning, all the while raising several children and ensuring their safety. We truly mean it when we say we have eyes in the back of our heads…

But that's not all women are "good for". Society has since (slightly) changed its views on a woman's place in this world, but as a woman myself, I say this: We can do whatever the heck we want. We can get a desk job because we enjoy repetitive tasks in a calming environment. Or, we can work in a fast-paced newsroom looking for the next breaking story while on our fifth cup of joe. We can do anything we set our minds to. So why is it that everyone, including other women, has something to say about the choices we make?
