People have a funny way of switching up how they treat you when there's a chance you might be able to help them benefit in some way. The thing about this "I scratch your back, you scratch mine" mentality is that it is almost always as transparent as glass. When the energy you receive from someone switches up because your circumstances change, you know it's time to kick them to the curb. They're not your friend, they just want to use you.
