4-year-old kid causes raucous at restaurant, server disciplines him, parents throw a fit at the manager: ‘You weren’t parenting, so a server did it for you’

Taking a young kid to a restaurant for dinner is always a risk. Kids can be restless and may be unable to sit at the table for the duration of an entire meal. When this happens, a parent usually accompanies the kid either outside or away from the busy tables and patrons in order for the child to get their restlessness out of their system without disrupting other folks too much. Of course, sometimes, that transition can be a challenge, and some messes or tantrums are inevitable. That being said, other folks should show a level of respect and understanding if the parent is, at the very least, trying to mitigate the situation.

In this instance, we have a couple who refused to take care of their restless 4-year-old and, instead, let him run around the restaurant without a care in the world. While the parents were enjoying their meal and pretending like nothing was going on, their kid was causing absolute chaos, nearly knocking over servers who were carrying piles of plates with hot food. So when a server tried to discipline the 4-year-old because no one else would, the tension really began to escalate.

It’s amazing how the parents were so outraged that the server would tell their kid to calm down and get back to his table after all of that raucous. They even posted on social media to complain about the situation and their subsequent tantrum thrown at the restaurant manager.
