Have you ever encountered that type of person who is so bragadocious and full of themselves, but they're also not fooling anyone with their swagger? This type of person will wear a pricey watch to try and signal how wealthy they are, but then they can't stop talking about how much they paid for it, which immediately makes them look really uncool. This type of person wears gaudy clothes covered with brand names, and insists on leasing a car they can't even afford just to keep up appearances. You can't fool everyone for long, though. If you have a huge ego, people are going to be bemused, annoyed, or just straight up find you irritating to be around.
