When a couple decides to have children, it's important that they know what goes into being parents. It's not all sunshine and rainbows; they're likely going to have to cut corners, financially and socially, and understand that sacrifices are made for their child's best interest. That's what it means to be a parent. Of course, they're hoping one day, their child can do the same for them in some capacity, but they shouldn't expect much from a 20-year-old who is trying to find their footing in a dog-eat-dog world.
In this next story, a 20-year-old woman refuses to hand over her entire paycheck to her mother after she requests it because she's sacrificed so much as a parent. Not only one paycheck, but it seems like she means all of them moving forward. I'm pretty sure that's just what parents are supposed to do, so the woman is unsurprisingly shocked. The woman then explains that she can barely get by on her paycheck, so she decides to leave her house instead.
