13-year-old throws a tantrum when her 18-year-old stepsister forgot to bring her a snack when she picked her up from track practice: 'She said her mom always brought a snack for her and pouted'

Being a teenager is no fun. Some of y'all might be a little too old to recall the emotional roller coaster of being 13-19, but I remember it like it was yesterday. I experienced such intense emotions as a teenager, and it always seemed like there was no end in sight. I knew consciously that life was supposed to get significantly better once I graduated from high school. Still, once that actually happened, I was surprised at how much of it was simply because I didn't feel everything as deeply anymore. It's not that I wanted to be so emotional in high school, but I just couldn't help it!

Still, even high schoolers have a responsibility to themselves and those around them to try to regulate their emotions. I'm not saying they should hold everything in and never be upset, but yelling at people unprovoked is unacceptable, no matter your age.
