Having a missing package is no fun. These days, companies try to make it easy for you to track the delivery truck so you won't miss that box when it shows up. You can sometimes geolocate the truck itself, or you'll get location updates letting you know how close the item is to you. When your box finally shows up, you know to be at your home or workplace to sign for it… otherwise they might just take it back to the post office, or worse, leave it to get stolen.
Of course, your special delivery is just one of tens or dozens that a delivery driver has to take care of in a day. Whether they're zipping around a city via electric bike, or zooming from place to place in a car, that delivery driver has tons of other people who need their deliveries, too.
