Grocery shopping in this economic climate feels like The Hunger Games, literally…
It's important to grab everything you need from budget-friendly stores and, preferably, buy in bulk. Throwing a 20-pack of chicken thighs in the freezer is more cost-efficient than buying a four-pack every time you're cooking. That's just the way grocery store sales work. So, you'll realize that though your grocery receipt is a bit more expensive, your cart is equally as full. That's a win situation. Except when customers in line assume you have heavy pockets and can front the cost of their milk. You can, but why would you?
Listen, doing a kind deed for folks in need is always a good idea. But when you have someone roaming the grocery store and already in line at checkout expecting you to pay for their dairy, that's a different level of entitled. Especially when they get sour after you decline. This is SPOILED behavior… And, like milk, the more you leave it out in the open, the more likely people will realize how much it reeks.
