    Hot take: Having rich parents is something every kid should use, and not be embarrassed about.

    People like to mock or mistreat those who find "success" thanks to their parents. If you have a rich parent who made it in life, for some reason, it is not socially acceptable that you use their hard work to help you with your future. It is as if your self-worth is diminished if you take advantage of the resources your parents worked so hard to give you. 

    But let's face it, if you were in the shoes of those with said resources, would you not have used them? Can you seriously say that if your parents had enough money to ensure you do not have to go through the struggle of keeping your feet on the ground in today's economy, you would not receive their help? 

    Well, I know that I would.

    That being said, even if you do have rich and successful parents, they might not offer you help at all. They might want you to fend for yourself, regardless of whether or not you want to.
