We live in a weird day and age when it comes to work, especially with the rise of work-from-home arrangements. Hybrid work (splitting time between home and office) has become the new norm for many workers, but even after five years, it still feels fresh and sometimes confusing. Now, a lot of companies are cracking down and demanding employees return to the office more regularly. This has sparked a lot of pushback from the workforce. Some employees would rather quit rather than give up their remote flexibility. Others are being offered severance packages if they don't want to come back, which is just a clever way for companies to ease the burden of mass layoffs. But one employee found a different way to handle the new in-office mandate. He's required to come into the office once a week. After years of coming in and leaving early (primarily due to his long commute), his boss is now demanding he stay until the end of the day. So, he maliciously complies by arriving just before the end of his shift and leaving right on time.
