Legos exude a love/hate relationship for geeky adults. Growing up with the smallest, dinkiest set of generic colored blocks, we always dreamed of getting the enormous play sets of castles, space ships, and dinosaurs. Envious of our friends who had a bin full of unused Legos, we told ourselves that, one day, we'd be able to buy a good one.
Alas, this desire never fully goes away for a Lego-lover, and well into adulthood, many of us dream of purchasing the fabled Millennium Falcon set to finally fulfill our childhood dreams.
Well this man in our next story, a dutiful, loving father, wanted to bestow upon his own son the most epic childhood dream while simultaneously chasing is own goals. He and his son spent hours together in the playroom building Lego together, specifically of the Star Wars variety. But apparently his mother-in-law, an apparently vindictive grandmother, thought it was childish, taking matters into her own hands with a stint of heedless violence towards the Lego builds.
The next day the original poster gave us an update to how the situation went down afterwards. Knowing there was beef between his MIL and himself, he was shocked to realize that the Lego betrayal went much deeper.
