Southwest Wisconsin Samaritan hops to the rescue, saving 3 "pet" bunnies from park peril after post-holiday Easter abandonment

We're all familiar with the Easter bunny, right? Well, for some families, he's a mythical figure that comes on Easter morning, before we all wake up, and fills our Easter baskets with candy, and then plants a bunch of Easter eggs around the house for us to find in the morning. For other families, he's a tiny, baby bunny that mommies and daddies give to their kids on Easter because everybody loves a cute bunny… until they find out how much work it is to actually keep a bunny as a pet.

The unfortunate reality of this situation is that a lot of these rabbits get dumped quickly after the post-holiday bunny buzz. People release them into the wild, thinking that they can easily survive in the wild, and the truth is that they can't. But luckily, there are heroic people who hop to the rescue to help these bunnies, like this Southwest Wisconsin man below.
