…It's wild when you think about it. Out there, beyond our atmosphere and into the great void lie celestial bodies, cool new rocks, and probably some form of life outside of our sphere. That's insane to think about. Nowadays, the whole 'going to space' bit has been played out by the 1% and the uber-rich, but there are many of us who still dream about what it's like out there amongst the stars. While it's rare to send humans up into orbit, it's even rarer for something traveling outside our planet to come back completely unscathed, especially back in 1963.

This ordinary couple discovered the extraordinary after reaching out to an online forum about a mysterious family heirloom they had sitting around the house. It appeared to be a capsule of sorts, but coming from a family full of tall tales and family fictions, they weren't sure of the artifact's origin or if it was even worth anything. Well, to the trained eye of the space-obsessed, scientific crowd, it was clear that they were sitting on a rare piece of the Apollo Landing Module from the 60s that had miraculously survived for decades under the unwatchful eye of a couple of Earth-bound humanoids.
