Parents' favoritism leads daughter to refuse to invite entitled brother to her wedding, they threaten not to come to the wedding: ‘No problem, grandad will walk me down the aisle'

It is unfortunate when parents' favoritism among their children leads to a strain in the relationship between the less-appreciated kids and their parents. It is even more unfortunate when that favoritism leads the a rift between the kids themselves, even if it is unsurprising.

When one kid gets all the attention and the love, even though it is technically not their fault, their siblings will start to resent them for it. Add that to the fact that the golden child is being raised to think they can do no wrong, and you get a dysfunctional family with parents who only care for one child, siblings who refuse to talk to each other, and chaos all around.

What happens when the kids grow up and are no longer under the care of their parents? Some manage to look past their unfortunate upbringing and manage to salvage a relationship with each other, while others are unable to move past the decades of living under the same roof.

The family in the story below, unfortunately, falls under the latter.
