    80s Toys We All Wanted as Kids (And Almost None of Us Actually Got)

    Am I spoiling my kids?
    Absolutely.
    When they want a toy or a game, I don't rush to the store, but let's be honest—I usually cave. They don't ask for much, and when they do, I'm like, "Sure, let's add it to the cart."

    But back in the 80s? Oh, it did not work like that.
    You didn't just get the toy you wanted. You didn't even get to ask. You circled it in a catalog, stared at it longingly through the shop window, maybe wrote it down in a notebook—and your parents would still get you whatever was on sale in the toy aisle that day. And you'd smile and say thank you, even if it was a knockoff.

    Me? I wanted the real stuff. NES. Optimus Prime. A BMX bike. A Millennium Falcon with all the figures. I got... none of those. Well, I did get a bike that proudly said "BNX" on the frame.
    Close enough, Mom. Close enough.
