Pokémon Fan Reimagines What Our Favorite Pocket Monsters Would Look Like in the Real World, and They're Kind of Scary

Nature is pretty wild and grizzly and metal. The animals that inhabit our reality can certainly seem cute and cuddly, but besides the few species that mankind has managed to domesticate, they have to be pretty sturdy and untrusting, relying mostly on instinct to survive. The animated creatures that live in our screens, however, are much cuddlier and nicer. The lions from The Lion King are not leaving behind grizzly carcasses from their hunts, and the creatures from Madagascar are not caked with grime from their environment. 

Although they are not real creatures, most Pokémon are pretty docile and adorable in the anime and in the games– yes, even giant, fully-evolved ones. However, in real life, they would probably seem a bit more wild and feral. Creative illustrator and Pokémon fan blacknirrow has taken it upon themselves to draw out how they imagine how our favorite pocket monsters would look like if they existed alongside humanity in the real world.
