There's a saying that something is always better when it's free—and there is definitely some truth to that. We're not putting down hard work, of course everyone should feel good about working hard. But sometimes you don't get praise for your hard work. That is when the universe decides that society needs to give you something for free. Maybe someone pays for your meal, or you find $20 on the ground with nobody around. You might feel guilty because you didn't do anything directly to earn that, but think about it! You still deserve it. 

Take this lady, for instance! She seems like a nice lady who has probably done a lot of thankless work. And look what society gave her! A free cute, adorable duckling.
