30-year-old husband leaves 29-year-old wife stranded at the hospital after surgery, goes on a hike with his mom instead: “She was here for support, not vacation”

Recovering from surgery is no simple feat. Even minor surgeries can leave you with pain and discomfort that you are not particularly used to. Everyone is different in their needs when they are experiencing new and uncomfortable sensations and need varying levels of support. Some people prefer to be left alone when they are recovering, but others need more active assistance from their loved ones in order to make the process easier.

In our story today, our protagonist's mother-in-law comes to visit with the intention of helping her recover after a minor surgery. However, when the time to discharge from the hospital arrives, neither her mother-in-law nor her husband are anywhere to be seen; they both seem to be totally unreachable. Left abandoned post-surgery, her sister offers her a ride home, where she finds her home in a total mess – a far cry from the help she was promised. Scroll down to get the full story.
