That sounds very uncomfortable. Of course, we would do it to make sure our baby is okay, but asking a roommate to check on your cat for you? That sounds tough. We would also be upset.

We also consider ourselves quite fluent in cat. We can always convince stray cats to let us pet them. But that makes the times when we don't succeed even worse. Why have our cat communication powers failed us??
