Some families sweep their issues under the rug for ages rather than address them. Parents always want to think they're doing their best for their kids. But it's never quite that simple, as this person found out when he confronted his parents over their blatant favoritism towards his younger brother. 

Favoritism is something that parents hate to be accused of (most parents will insist that they love all their kids equally, but I think a lot of them certainly do have their favorites). All their child wants is to get the same amount of consideration and care that's given to their sibling… but many parents would rather go on the defensive for hours rather than admit they were wrong.
