Mother refuses to force 16, 14, 12, and 3-year-old children to play inside with their introvert cousin, her sister accuses her children of excluding him: ‘My kids don't like to watch TV’

When the sun is shining and the grass is greening, all kids want to do is get outside and feel the vitamin D sink into their skin as they build a fort with their best friends. The fort won't hold for longer than four seconds because they are too young to be civil engineers, but it's important to note that children have the spirit, and that's what matters.

Some children would prefer to stay inside with a nice book or cozy movie, which is also fine. Each child has their own definition of fun, and each child is different and knows what makes them happy (and what makes them sad). So, when the young cousin in this next story wants to play inside instead of going outside with his cousins, the cousins kindly refuse. After all, the weather is nice and the fort is almost built. Time is of the essence! The young cousin, however, did not take it lightly. The woman who posted this story explains that her sister, the young cousin's mom, accused her boys of exclusion. There's nothing wrong with introversion, let's get that straightened out. However, you can't force kids who are normally active children to sit inside if they don't want to, especially if only one child wants to do so. Forcing a child to do something they don't want to do a parenting fail, and you know how much we hate those here.
