‘He looks at the receipt and laughs’: Employee with 20+ years of retail experience shuts down a Karen at a Dunkin' while he's trying to get a coffee and donut

Sometimes in the morning you want to treat yourself to a little donut and coffee. Good for you! You deserve that little morning treat. So where do you go? Dunkin' Donuts is probably the most well-known place for that kind of thing, so why not there? Oh, maybe because since it's so well-known it attracts all kinds of horrible people, like Karens. *Clouds darken, thunder bangs, lightning strikes* Yup, the dreaded Karen might also be lurking in that spot where you were just trying to start your day off right.

This Karen, however, chose the wrong Dunkin' to throw a tantrum in that morning, because she was doing it right in front of a guy who has worked in retail/costumer service for over 20 years. And, oh boy, was he not having it that morning…

This Karen tried to pull the classic move of pretending like your service was horrible and food gross by waving around a random receipt and throwing a tantrum. However, this guy just trying to get his coffee and donut and be on his merry way noticed the receipt she was waving around was from a Home Depot… Not Dunkin'. So he, of course, called her out and gave everyone a good laugh. She stormed out and he got his morning treat.
