Nepo-boss’s plan to spy on employees backfires when his Big Brother cameras meant to monitor the office reveal the staff’s reviews on his CEO skills: ‘He can now hear our unfiltered opinions of him’

Some bosses see "modernization" as a chance to improve morale and efficiency. This one apparently saw it as an opportunity to transform this humble parking garage into a halfway house for redundant employees and the world's least interesting dystopian novel remake, starring a man with all the business savvy of an off-brand Monopoly token.

In some companies, Big Brother is a metaphor. In this parking garage, it's literally a badly installed office camera, blinking red like a communist Christmas light as the new boss tries to turn minimum wage into maximum surveillance

Son of the former CEO (may his monocle rest in peace), armed with all the charm of a DMV pamphlet and the foresight of a wet paper bag-launches an "innovation" blitz, nepotism has never felt so dystopian. The new overlord's creative solutions boil down to: buy expensive gadgets that do people's jobs, nitpick the color of the air fryer, and install enough cameras to make the original Big Brother blush.

For the employees, it’s less “welcome to the future” and more “welcome to Room 101,” now with extra office supplies and the constant threat of being replaced by a customer service robot.
But for the CEO, now a victim of his own surveillance state. As he’s genuinely shocked to discover that you can automate payment but not respect, and you can film your employees but not shut them up.
