30 Memes That Are No Small Potatoes

The first meme in this list, which is also the meme in the header image, really bothers me. I don't get riled up about stuff like this too often, but I'd like to go on a little rant about the Crayola Pipsqueak markers and the joke made at its expense. Everybody knows that "small potatoes" means "of no great matter: insignificant." Maybe if you're a child using these tiny markers, you might not know that, but everyone old enough to make and share hilarious memes online should know that. The meme in question implies that this is a completely absurd thing to name your marker, because at the end of the day, it's just describing brown. Any marker that is simply named "brown" is small potatoes by definition: it's insignificant, who cares about it? The small potatoes marker is ironically big potatoes, because it's making enough waves to be questioned by simple-minded folks.

I don't know why I went on such an out-of-character rant just now, but I'm glad I did it. Sometimes, you've just got to let all of your frustration out, no matter what the consequences of that may be. If you don't care about what I have to say and just want memes, then it's time to scroll on.
