Gamer Accurately Makes Popular Animal Crossing Characters as Humans On the Sims

When I tell people that know next to nothing about gaming that I play Animal Crossing, they always seem to associate it with The Sims. They're not wrong in that the games hold some similarities; they are both life simulation games, and they both involve a ton of decorating and customization. Also, if you're just sitting next to someone playing either game, you might think that Animal Crossing's Animalese is just a cuter, higher-pitched version of Simlish.

Here's where the games differ: in The Sims, the characters you create are sort of like your children that you watch and take care of – even if they start as babies and grow into elderly people and have children of their own! In Animal Crossing, you make a mini version of yourself that gets to interact with a bunch of cute and funny NPCs. Despite their differences, there is a lot of crossover between fandoms.
