    24-year-old woman with severe cat allergy is forced to adopt her boyfriend's mother's cat after the mother warns she would "get rid of" the cat, now runs away from the boyfriend while he's at work to save the feline from him too

    We tell pretty much everyone that we know that they should adopt a cat. Because cats are awesome. Because cats bring joy and calmness into their households. Because in some cultures, it's believed that if a cat likes a house, then the house will treat its owners nicely. Pretty much everyone, but not actually everyone. Because as much as we support adopting cats and having cats in your home, we do fully understand that some people have no business being cat owners, and this story has two of them. 

    You would think that this story would have three of these people, considering that the girlfriend is severely allergic to cats, but no, she is the best thing that has happened to this cat. The cat's original owner (the mom in this story) was terrible and neglectful, and turns out that her son (the boyfriend who adopted the cat with his girlfriend) is just as terrible - to the cat and to his now ex. Taking the cat, however slyly she might have done it, was the best thing that she could have done.
