If you don't tip your hair stylist, you should be really, really sure you're never going to step foot in that location again. Out of all the things you could avoid tipping for, that's one of the riskiest services!

Keeping up with beauty standards has never been cheap. People who get braids or expensive hair stylings know that all too well. Finding a good stylist can be difficult, but once you find that barber who makes you love the way you look, you won't mind shelling out that money for their services. They go through plenty of training to get to that point: you're paying for their expertise.

This person decided not to tip after getting their hair done, which proved to be a divisive topic. The story comes straight from a part of the internet dedicated to people who are totally done with tipping, so naturally, the commenters sided with this person. It probably wasn't the kindest thing to stiff their stylist of a tip just because they didn't like the price. They'll just have to remember to never go back to that salon again, lest they get a terrible haircut from a stylist who knows she's not getting tipped anyway.

It comes off as really tacky. If you're giving your clients a high-end experience, they'll expect to be treated accordingly. Even if the cashier was disapproving that the customer wasn't leaving a tip, she committed a faux pas by calling her out so harshly.
