9-year-old boy won’t stop picking on his 8-year-old stepbrother, stepfather chooses his son over his fiancee and she throws in the towel: “It’s a good thing your girlfriend is moving out”

Welcome back gals and gents. In life, family is of the utmost importance. Without family, we wouldn't be here today. Through all of life's ups and downs, grieving, ultimate turmoil, family is there to hold our hands through the bad times. They're there to give us life advice when we're struggling at work, or going through a breakup. No one can live their life without family. By the time people are older, they're less likely to be close with their parents, because usually they've started a family of their own. The whole definition of family has twitched upside down.

When things aren't good between family members, it affects everyone around them. Having step-sibings and stepparents can exacerbate the negative aspects of family. Who wants to grow up with a bunch of random strangers suddenly living in your home? The answer is no one. No one wants to feel under the parental reigns of their stepmother or stepfather.

In the story below, the protagonist is a man whose fiancee has a son. This stepson has been constantly picking on the father's child. Things come to a cross when the stepson merely tries to ignore being picked on, but they pick on him anyway.

It's good that the father chose his son over his fiancée. It sounds like the son is actually a good kid, but young, and that his stepbrother is the one being antagonistic. She's pretty out of line for just snapping at him about his “brat” son. He seems like a good father.
