Well… some people are just not meant to be together, that's what we think about this situation. Because as much as we can be mad at her for getting the cats in the first place, we can't be mad at her for not wanting to get rid of them or let them roam outside. Her not budging - that's not great either, but we get her. And we get you. This is a sad situation.

It's hard to disagree with the comments. Nothing about this seems “healthy”, and so we reiterate: some people, unfortunately, are simply not meant to build a life with one another, and we are sorry that you're both having to go through that realization.
