Most folks trust that when they quit a job, everyone at the company will register that you have left. Perhaps you may fear that your impact on the workplace environment is next to nothing, but at the very least, you expect that people will remember that you no longer work there.

It seems that every so often, you come across a company with such an incompetent work structure that it makes you wonder how they are still in business at all. In this instance, a former employee had submitted a resignation letter to his boss, who must have misplaced it and had amnesia in the process. Two years later, the ex-employee received an email terminating him for what they referred to as "job abandonment." How can you get fired from a job that you quit on your own volition years prior?

As you can see below, the ex-employee included the email he received from the human resources department of his old job out of the blue, terminating him for being a negligent employee. Well, who is the real negligent one here, because the author wasn't even an employee anymore and hadn't been for two full years? In fact, it turns out that the reason why he quit in the first place had to do with a negligent boss. The incompetence is unfortunately everywhere at this place!
