We can't help but feel sorry for the author of this tale, who was clearly doing everything right with no proper acknowledgment for her efforts. As some members of the online community pointed out in the comments section, which we also included in the screenshots below, this woman's husband is just as much to blame here as the mother-in-law. It sounds like he simply doesn't know how to put his foot down and stand up for his wife. Clearly, doing all the planning for birthdays and events was not enough to be part of the family, so it was time for her to shirk all those “responsibilities” and leave it up to hubby to figure out.
