Artist Reimagines Majestic Pokémon in Traditional Japanese Art Style

Just a week ago, everyone and their grandma were turning pictures of themselves into masterpieces by Studio Ghibli using AI. Even businesses put out ads in the iconic style to stay on trend; I came across Ghibli-fied pictures of a local cinema, a café, and a pizza place. Plenty of people quickly realized that Ghibli wasn't the only style that AI could accurately replicate. While they didn't catch on quite as much as the Miyazaki-mimicking trend, plenty of internet users started posting AI-generated reimaginings of their pictures in medieval and cartoon styles.

This AI stuff is all pretty fun and exciting, but there are plenty of artists that can accurately replicate styles just as well. The Pokémon fan featured down below certainly spent a great deal of time studying traditional Japanese art in order to come up with these majestic images that turn our favorite pop culture monsters into creatures from Eastern mythology and folklore.
