Your siblings are supposed to be the people who always have your back. They are supposed to protect you from anyone else, to defend you, and to keep you safe. Sure, you may fight over silly things, you are also each other's harshest critics, but nothing should ever come in between you; that is what family is all about.

To be betrayed by a sibling you always thought you could count on must be life-shattering. Not only because it ruins your relationship with them, but also because it will forever change your family dynamics, and there is nothing you can do about it. Your parents will be forced to somehow pick a side, or at least split themselves up between the two of you, and it will never feel complete again.

That is what is currently happening to the family in the story below. When their 17-year-old son found out that his girlfriend had cheated on him with his 16-year-old brother, his relationship with his family forever changed. Especially when it was revealed that the girlfriend is actually pregnant with the brother's child.

Surprisingly, instead of supporting the older brother, most of the family actually chose the cheater's side, claiming they should support him and his future child.
This led the 17-year-old to move out of his parents' home and move in with his grandparents, the only people who supported him through this dispute.
