Tenant gets evicted from housing project where a pregnant cat had just had kittens and refuses to let anyone inside, the kittens get rescued, but the momma cat stays locked inside: 'Their poor momma was running out of time'

Our cats are part of our families, and we don't understand how there are some cat owners out there who don't quite seem to get that. The number of times that we have heard about people abandoning their cats when they move is abhorrent. You wouldn't just leave your child like that, or your parent or partner. That is what you are to our cat - family. And if you move, you take your cat with you, even if it means taking your cat on a plane or a long drive. You find a way.

But if you find yourself in a situation like this - getting evicted, having no one else to give your cats to and not knowing what to do with your cats, you do the right thing - which is rehoming the cats. It's a hard decision, one of the hardest you could make. But what matters at the end of the day is the cats' wellbeing. Unfortunately, it's not what mattered for the evicted person in question in this story, so someone else had to step in.

Goodness, so much could have gone wrong in this situation. We're so happy that it turned out the way that it did. We don't know how rescuers do this all the time. The stress alone, the worry about the momma cat and the babies, would have done us in. Thank you. The world needs more people like you.

Five stars or ten doesn't matter. They are in good hands now, we know it, and we know that you are going to do everything possible to get them adopted by good people. For now though, enjoy the shenanigans. We're sure that with this many kittens, there are plenty of them.
