There are always two sides to every story. Unless you're watching a movie, in which case you usually only get the one that paints the villain as pure evil and nothing more. But what if the "bad guy" wasn't actually all that bad? What if they were just hurt, misunderstood, or honestly, making a few valid points? I didn't expect to have an existential crisis about fictional villains today, and yet here we are.
It turns out that when you look at certain movies from the villain's perspective, things start to feel… a little tragic. Like suddenly, I understand why that one guy snapped and built a death ray. I've definitely been one minor inconvenience away from doing the same a time or two.
