I go through phases every once in a while where I want to learn how to be a tattoo artist. Ink on skin is so beautiful, and I'd love to be able to put my Fine Arts degree to good use by permanently marking someone's body with a piece of art that will last a lifetime. The process for becoming a tattoo artist is not so easy, though, and it takes years of dedication to start putting your designs on people's bodies. Some tattoo artists don't even design their own stuff – they just let their clients bring in what they want, and they redraw it with needle and ink like an organic copy machine.
Tattoo artist @shelotattoo certainly designs their own tattoos. While they are inspired by the beloved anime One Piece, their homage to the show is not limited to basic fan art. They've turned several of the characters into adorable frogs, and you can even get them tattood on your own body in full Japanese-style color! Scroll down for more.
