Grumpy, derpy and too-cute Pallas' cats gently placing their paws on their fluffy tails like they're built-in blankets: 'They have a unique way of keeping warm'

The thing about us is that we like cats… maybe a little too much. We have a tendency to try to pet… all of them. All the time. Whether the cat looks friendly or not. Whether the cat is a house kitty or a feral kitty or a wild kitty. We can't stop ourselves. And although this desire is a little hard to explain to some people, we think that you guys, our readers, would understand why we want to pet wild cats. There is just something about cats that we cannot resist. Maybe it's the fact that they keep acting like house cats.

Caracals annoy their humans by jumping onto their keyboards, just like house cats. Jaguar cubs like playing with random items, like shoes, just like house cats. Cheetahs apparently really like cuddling, maybe even more than house cats. How could we resist? If we came across a wild lynx outside or something, how in the world could we stop ourselves from trying to pet it? We couldn't, that's the answer.

It's as if we needed another reason to love these cats. It's as if them being adorable, fluffy as heck, round to purrfection, endlessly derpy, and with a level of grumpiness on their faces that matches that of the legend Grumpy Cat. We didn't need another reason to love Pallas' cats, but we got it anyway.

We love how many instances there are of these cats doing this thing. A tiny search online, and there were too many options for us to count. We had to choose our favorites, and instead of putting this together in the allocated time that we have, we ended up scrolling through far too many of these videos for far too long.
