Dogs in the office are a contentious issue. Some dog owners assume that everyone will love their pupper just as much as they do, but plenty of people are allergic, simply aren't fans, or would just rather not have distractions at work. Forcing people to be in confined spaces with pets that they aren't comfortable with at a job that has nothing to do with animals is just bad business. If everyone in the office is okay with having a dog around, their presence can be a major mood booster, though!
