The books were about a bunch of stray cats that had formed clans deep in the woods of some suburb. These books were fraught with violence, betrayal, and political intrigue. The main series followed the life of a "kitty-pet," a domestic kitten, that hopped a fence and ended up in this hidden kingdom of cats. Despite being discriminated against for his origins, he eventually became a clan leader through his strength, wit, and will. Yeah, it was really intense.
